Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy Celebrates Strong A Level Results
Students and staff at Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy in Walsall are celebrating a strong set of exam results today, with several students achieving places at leading universities and on coveted apprenticeship courses.
More than half of entries achieved the higher-grade boundaries of A*-C and across the A Level subjects, the average points score was 23.38 – an increase on 2018’s average of 23.13.
High performances were achieved in a number of subjects, with particularly strong progress in English, History, Art, Physics, Business Studies and Sociology. The average Applied General grade was a strong Merit, with students performing well in Business Studies, Performing Arts, Health and Social Care, Sport, ICT and Media.

Max P – Business Studies A, History B and Maths B. Mathematics – University of East Anglia UEA
Alex B - Studying Film Production Technology - Birmingham City University
Barinder B - Studying Modern Languages - University of Birmingham
Georgia G– International Business with Spanish – Nottingham Trent University
