GCSE Success

Progress has risen significantly in Mathematics, Science and Modern Foreign Languages at both GCSE and A Level this Summer, with improvements seen in over 70% of subject areas across the academy at KS4 and 80% at KS5.

There were some outstanding individual academic successes with more A*-A grades achieved at GCSE than in previous years.  Conscientious student Minh Calder achieved a phenomenal10 A* grades at GCSE, as well as 4 A grades and 2 Distinction grades at BTEC, achieving the best results the academy has ever seen.

 Shelfield Community Academy are delighted in the improvements seen in key subject areas highlighted by Ofsted in their January inspection.
