SUPPORTING STUDENTS/PARENTS

The student services team at Ormiston Shelfield Academy are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of our students.

SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL WELL-BEING

We currently have a Learning Mentor and Counsellor based within our academy offering support to young people experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.  The support provided can be in class, small groups or one to one.  We also work closely with staff to provide coordinated interventions and support.

Mobile phone safety

There is now a new website called ‘Out of Your Hands’. It is aimed at teaching children aged 7-16 online safety and how to safeguard a mobile phone.
